union university: southern baptists. evangelicalism. the future

For many of you, it may already be too late.

Plans were not made; lives are full and busy; responsibility to family, work, church, etc. bids you to stay home.

But, in the rare case that you have the freedom to up and drive to Jackson, Tennessee for the next few days, I believe that Ed Stetzer’s opening talk at Union University’s important conference “Southern Baptists, Evangelicals, and the Future of Denominationalism” shows that your unexpected days here on campus would be well worth any interruption your departure might cause.

Like Stetzer said tonight, “Denominations that are effective for the kingdom of God unite in doctrine and diversify in methods.”

May this conference bring honor to God by encouraging and challenging men and women to bring about a “new” denominationalism such as this.

. . . . .

If you need a place to stay, I have a couple of (small) couches.

If you want to follow from afar, you can start with Trevin Wax’ efforts to live blog and outline conference sessions (Kingdom People)…

Or you can keep tabs on the conference Twitter hashtag (#uuconf)…

Or you can access live streaming audio and, in a prompt fashion, access audio downloads at the official conference website.
