abbey gets bigger, learns new tricks

Our sweet jolly giant, who has historically weighed (and measured) in at the 90th percentile, keeps growing and learning.

What has she been learning?

New noises and improved eye-hand-mouth coordination:

Hip hopping skills:

And, perhaps most impressively, the (half) barrel roll:

Is it possible to watch that last video without cheering her on?

I think not.

More tricks to come!

. . . . . .

Parents, Uncles, Aunts, Grandparents, and all of you who have babies in your lives that you love so much . . . what is your favorite “trick” that your little guy or gal has performed to date?

Ethan (7.5 months old) just learned to pinch small objects between his fingers, the pincher reflex. He is now eating Cheerios to his heart’s delight! I know we are more friends of friends but I truly enjoy watching your family grow via blog. Plus, it’s nice to know someone else in Tennessee!

I don’t know if this counts, but our little guy (Shepherd – 3 mos.) just started doing this super-cute thing where he buries his head in my neck after seeing himself in the mirror. Maybe not quite a trick, but cute nontheless.

By the way, I enjoy seeing your pictures and seeing Abbey grow!

I can’t wait to see this sweet little girl in just a few weeks! I am definitely missing her and her awesome parents.
As far as the question goes, one of my best friends here at home is Avery, who is three. My favorite new trick is her memorization of random songs. The latest one, which had me rolling in the floor, was Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.” Imagine a sweet little one singing “P-P-P-Poker Face! P-P-P-Poker Face!” It’s hilarious.
