from the hospital: abbey’s birth (10)

[5 pm, CST]

Beth is dilated 8 centimeters.

They just inserted a new internal “paddle” that measures the intensity of Beth’s contractions.

. . . . . . .

“How does it do that?’ you may be wondering.

Well, it is actually a device that is lodged between Abbey’s skull and Beth’s cervix – so it is measuring how much pressure Beth’s uterus is putting on Abbey’s big ol’ head (all babies have huge domes)

. . . . . . .

Pushing can’t be too far away – could it?

. . . . . . .

Also, Beth is still passed out from the exhaustion of this evenings contractions.

Rest up babe!  Big things (shortly ?) to come!

. . . . . . .
