update: beth’s dad (2)

Read the first update if you don’t know what is happening (‘update: beth’s dad‘)

. . . . . . .

Beth spoke with her mom earlier and found out that Beth’s dad was having a second blood transfusion because he is having some sort of internal bleeding that the doctors have not yet located.

The doctors are also trying to determine if they want to take Papa K to the hospital in downtown Houston where his personal cardiologist’s office is.

Earlier today they confirmed that he definitely had a heart attack, definitely had pneumonia, and definitely had a sinus infection (which may be the cause of the fever).

They will be keeping him on a respirator for the next 24 – 72 hours.

. . . . . . .

We wish the news was a little better, but his heart is still stable.  The doctors also say it is a good sign that he is responding to the discomfort of having breathing tubes in, moving his hands to his chest even though he is fully sedated.

Keep praying for Papa K.

My specific prayer is that he would pull through so that little Abbey (who we are still waiting on) will have memories of her grandaddy reading to her and playing with her – and that Abbey would see the way that Papa K loves Mama K and the picture of the gospel that comes with their happy marriage.

Thank you for praying friends.

Lee and Beth (Beth I hardly knew you in high school but am so blessed by reading your blog all the time- please dont think I am creepy!)
    1. My fiance and I and our families will pray diligently for Papa K and Abbey and your sweet family. We will agree in prayer that God will put his mighty hand on him, and that he will bring Abbey when he’s ready to bring Abbey. Relax in peace knowing that we have a God who can handle it.
    2. I am in Kingwood if anything of any sort is ever needed at any time
    3. I work in the med center. If he is sent down here, I am happy to meet up with your mom in any hospital and get her situated. It’s what I do at Methodist, and I can do it anywhere. Please let me know if I can be of any help at all.
