new music: Brooks Ritter does it right

This is just to put a bug in your ear – for the moment.

Brooks Ritter helps lead worship at Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

If you are familiar with Sojourn, then you are probably aware of the amazing musicianship (did I just invent a word, or does it just look silly?) of Brooks Ritter.

If not, “lead worship” may be a misnomer that brings to mind visions of Chris Tomlin, your favorite Passion CD, or maybe that guy with the goatee who rotated through the same three chords while singing some cheesy song that you remember from the one time you visited your cousin’s youth group.

Just watch this clip, then you’ll understand:

There is a future day coming when you will check this blog or the latest re:wilsons post will pop up in your Google Reader, and you will see the name “Brooks Ritter” and a message that says “go buy his music on iTunes”.

When that happens, remember this day, this moment, and obey – you will not regret it and Ritter’s album “The Horse Fell Lame” will quickly rise to the top of your personal charts.

Be looking forward to it.

. . . . . . .

Until the day of iTunes arrives, you can check out Brooks Ritter’s MySpace page, here.
