are you kidding me?

'nuff saidLet’s get this straight.

The best weathermen in the world release a statement saying that those who do not flee Galveston are facing “certain death”.

Wind gusts from Ike are blowing in at 120+ miles per hour.

Shepherd Smith on Fox News keeps saying “the eye wall will be here at any second.”

Earlier in the day, a primo day in the life of Geraldo Rivera, this happens:

And where do we find Geraldo at 10:30 pm? 11:00 pm ? 11:15 pm?

Are you kidding me.  Are you kidding me???

And they wonder why 40 percent of Galveston elected to say behind and weather out a storm that they have been told will arrive with all the fury of “certain death”?

Let this be a lesson to all of us, a couple of them in fact:

1) Geraldo Rivera is an absolute nincompoop

2) Geraldo Rivera may have major brain damage from his earlier fall, thus explaining his willingness to play chicken with Hurricane Ike – on the FLOODWALL!

3) If you want anybody to listen to a message that you are trying to communicate, especially a message that is absolutely vital to their survival, your actions/behavior/images they see of your life, must be consistent with the content of your message.

Please, Christian brothers and sisters, take this seriously.

Just like people will ignore warnings to flee from the danger of the storm when they see Geraldo dodging chunks of asphalt on the seawall, so too they will ignore your warnings of the reality of sin, death, and hell if your life does not reflect the reality of your message.

Geraldo just made a Chuck Norris reference – he was immediately up to his waist in ocean water, holding onto a palm tree to keep from floating away.  If this man’s brain was half the size of his mustache, he would realize that “storm surges” destroy entire buildings, his little palm tree is unlikely to be an adequate safety measure.

Geraldo is a crazy. That palm tree shot made me laugh a little though…typical macho Geraldo taking on a huge hurricane.

I think Geraldo is really trying to get in on all the Chuck Norris-isms that are all over pop culture these days.

Seriously, you need to update your blog so I don’t have to see Geraldo’s chest hair every time I pull the page up. I am too stubborn to simply use Google Reader.

Did y’all know that Josh and Sarah Seefeldt are expecting a baby? Yay two days until we find out if Baby Wilson is a he or a she!!
